Nuit Blanche Kyoto 2021 program
A project that combines photography Ⓟ and words Ⓦ . Both P and W are “snapshots” that shoot down reflexively anything, anywhere, anytime or in any situation. What W differs from P is that W is a “snapshot of recognition” which can note anything in your mind and speak it in words even if you can’t see it. By collaborating P and W, deeper and more various stimuli will be created.
Blue is the colour of flow. Time, air, water and people’s feelings all flow, turning into many shades of blue. My mother was born in Kyoto in 1926 as ‘Masako', but we have always called her ‘Maya'. Old as she is, Maya’s way of living each day of life to the fullest echoes deeply in my heart. In following the long line of her life, the passage of time in Kyoto also emerges from obscurity. I try to capture these passing moments with my photos, pictures and drawings. My thanks are due for the support of the Kyoto prefecture in helping cultural activity to continue. If you are interested by this exhibition, you are welcome to visit the shop, and also kindly send me any feedback through the contact.
